Main Description
The Problem Assignee must determine the permanent solution to address the problem/known error by seeking inputs from various external organizations, third parties or vendors. Problem Management must perform a cost benefit comparison between the cost incurred for the resolution against the implementation benefit to the Client / Business.

There can be some problems where the impact is minimal, but the cost of resolution is extremely high. In such cases, a decision must be taken whether to continue with the workaround rather than implementing the permanent solution.

Known Error Database and IT Service Management tool must be updated with the details of the permanent solution.
